I think we can all agree that progress is something desirable. We want to hit new milestones in our relationships, our hobbies, and our work. So why does it feel like a never-ending treadmill to run on?
What I remind myself is that progress is not something I do, progress is something I am. It's as natural to me as moving my body. There's so much effort tied up in the "doing" when it comes to progress, which is why we get exhausted so easily. When you release that, progress becomes law: you can't help but progress.
