Do you set resolutions each year, only to find that you fall short? And then, not only do you fall short, but you use that metric as a tool for punishing yourself? I see this all the time, and I've been in that exact same boat myself!
If we're all unique--and I believe that we are--then we must find unique ways of doing things. The problem with resolutions is that we assume there is a right and a wrong way to do it. And while the typical way works for many, there are millions of people who do not benefit from your typical "goal-setting," and feel a lot of shame about it.
I'm here to say, it's NOT YOU. You just haven't found what works, and who says the common way is the right way? The right way is the way that helps you.
