If there's one thing I'm afraid of, it's joining the ranks of the "living dead." You know--someone who is so afraid to take risks and live life that they never try in the first place. The living dead goes beyond caution or "playing it safe." It's resignation to live an unsatisfying life--whatever that looks like to you.
Of course we all WANT to be comfortable, but when change is knocking on our door, we've got to be willing to experience just a little discomfort in order to grow.
Avoiding the living dead isn't about taking unnecessary risks, however. It's about taking calculated risks based on specific data that you have about yourself. Trying new things and extending past your boundaries is necessary, AND you've got to make sure that you're being yourself while doing it. Otherwise, you're not going to get the results you want anyway.
Once you've found that sweet spot of risk-taking AND blueprint utilization, you're ready to go.
